About
Phil John Perry is a creative director, fashion stylist, artist, actor, painter, and business person whose work moves fluidly between fine art, fashion, and performance. With a background in sculptural design and a distinctive approach to creating raw, emotionally charged visuals, his practice engages deeply with themes of identity, resilience, and transformation.
Phil first gained recognition for creating iconic headdresses worn by global figures, establishing a reputation for craftsmanship and visionary design. Since then, he has expanded his practice beyond adornment into avant-garde styling, fine art, and painting—continuing to refine a multidisciplinary approach that unites concept with execution. His work is defined by a commitment to making: the process of construction, materiality, and form is always central to the finished image or object.
In addition to his studio practice, Phil is the founder of P.O.M. Ltd., a retail space designed as an inclusive sanctuary for escapism and imagination. Combining interiors, storytelling, theatre and a curatorial sensibility, P.O.M. reflects his ability to create environments as powerfully as he creates images.
With a background in acting that has recently been re ignited, recently appearing in Amazon Prime’s fantasy series The Wheel of Time, adding further dimension to his practice as a storyteller.
Having made a conscious decision to step away from the constraints of the linear corporate creative industry, Phil now works on his own terms. He chooses projects with intention, prioritising independence of vision and resisting the mediocrity of single-disciplinary framing. Much of his work is created and held back from immediate visibility, allowing it to surface in its own time. For Phil, it is more important that an image is found and resonates organically than that it is endlessly circulated.
Now based on an island off the north coast of Wales, Phil concentrates on his business endeavours and his need to create on many levels—whether through painting, acting, or the building of spaces where imagination can thrive.
“We decided to work with Phil John Perry because he has a wildly creative mind … to whisk you away to dream-like places. His work is beautiful, unexpected and filled with emotion.”
